Japanese massage tatami: why is it the ideal surface?
The Japanese tatami for erotic massages is an ideal surface because it allows the masseuse to interact with total freedom of movement with the client. These are very close massages, with high physical activity that, at the same time, are carried out gently and with a high level of contact.
Why massage on Japanese tatami mats?
A Japanese tatami is an ideal surface for massage. It allows the masseuse to take natural positions that favour a better interaction with the client. Being close to the floor, the masseuse can extend the range of movement and interact with absolute freedom.
The client, for his part, is placed in the centre of the tatami with maximum comfort and space on both sides of his body. As it is a wide and comfortable surface, the masseuse can move subtly around the body, facilitating a total interaction that considerably increases the quality of the massage.
Types of massages that can be given on tatami mats
All kinds of massages can be performed on a tatami. Below we highlight some of the erotic massages from Masajes Premier that offer the best results on this surface:
Brahma massage. This is one of the most seductive, soft and sensual options. An especially delicate and highly relaxing sensitive massage.
Vishnu massage. A more intense proposal based on millenary techniques with a greater energetic flow between the masseuse and the client. A climate that is enhanced by the surface of the tatami, as it facilitates the level of interaction necessary in this type of erotic massage.
Nuru Kamasutra Massage. Nuru means softness and sliding. An environment such as the tatami, due to its height and format, allows the quality of this type of massage to be raised to the highest level, allowing the masseuse to interact with the client in an agile way and with all parts of their body.
Measurements of a Japanese massage tatami mat
Tatami mats can have many different sizes. But in the case of a Japanese massage tatami, it must be spacious. It must allow the interaction between the masseuse and the client with enough space, so we recommend a size of 200x150 cm.
In terms of thickness, it should be thick enough to rise above the floor without loss of comfort. Although not excessively, to make it easier for the masseuse to move around the person receiving the massage. We are talking about an elevation above the floor of 20 cm.
Types of tatami mats and which are the most suitable for massages
There are many different types of tatami. For example, we have the puzzle type. However, they are not suitable for massages. As they do not have a thicker padded area, they do not provide all the comfort required for a quality erotic massage. In these, the client should feel as if they were in a bed. A surface that, in short, allows them to relax and rest, to live a pleasurable experience.
Tatami roll or rollable tatami mats
They are more similar to a kind of mat. A more suitable surface for exercise, for example. But not for receiving an erotic massage of the level that is given at Shiva Massages.
Tatami for gymnasium
Thicker than the previous ones, and easy to install and clean. But, in any case, far from the top quality and comfortable tatamis that we use in our facilities. Again due to the specific needs and quality of the masseuses who work in our centre.
Other uses of a Japanese tatami mat
Beyond erotic massages, a tatami can be used for other uses and activities. In most cases, these are linked to sport and, more specifically, to some contact sports, such as for example
- judo
- karate
- taekwondo
- martial arts
- jiu jitsu
